Learn about transition towns

Have you heard of the Transition Towns initiative? This "social experiment on a massive scale" seeks to empower groups within local communities around the world to address the question:

"for all those aspects of life that this community needs in order to sustain itself and thrive, how do we significantly increase resilience (to mitigate the effects of Peak Oil) and drastically reduce carbon emissions (to mitigate the effects of Climate Change)?"

The initiative provides interested people with the training, advice, skills, and information they need to activate their own transition town group, and go about solving the issues associated with peak oil in their own local community.
